From what I've heard he's going after Naruto's super team with Tobi, if he's going after Hebi, he'll definatly die, but like I said it depends on what Tobi can do...

they want to go after naruto and co. because they defeated hidan and kakuzu (is that his name) aka the zombie bros. who could not be killed. that is why they want to go after them
