You people seem to be missing one key factor here! Naruto was a horrible ninja before! He was basically being taught the basics with Jiraiya in a much further extent so Naruto could be a real ninja and not just one who used a few super strong moves. Besides, who is to say he has shown everything he has? He's been in two missions so far!
