Do you know another forum site off the top of your head that uses that? So I can check it out to get an idea.

Something like this:

http://community.invisionpower.com/

Actually that's a pretty powerful forum software. Though I've heard that their changes tends to break custom CSS layouts. I don't though if that's changed in the last year, year and a half.

Well this certainly brought down my day...... Sigh I dont care if we have to start over, I'm just hoping that Greg with everyone else's aid (I included) can help to make the site even better OMF...

The only problem I have is how are we going to get this message out so everyone can see it...I know I;m not the only one who is missing some posters who were good friends and or decent nonetheless

Well, the options were really between vBulletin, which is what we were using, and IPB, which is supposed to be pretty powerful as well. We never did have much customization to the boards other than skins, which is a good thing. I think Greg mostly wants to make sure there are mods available for what he wants to do/install.

The best thing we can do is tell the people we socialise with outside of OMF and hope they'll do the same. Once OMF is up again, it should be a little easier to get the message across to other posters. Most of the older members of OMF are aware that OMF has issues and are probably just waiting for it to come back up again, once they do, an announcement thread by Greg should hopefully get the message across and help people migrate over to the new site.

Never met the admin. Nice to meet you. A new forum sounds nice. It can lead to my increase and rise in power and influence. God Mode can be my Scretary of Foreign Affairs.
